Cinamon and Ginger Cookies

'The best way to spread christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear!' -Buddy the elf

How is it one week until Christmas?! December has been so busy! With one week to go we have to share with you our all time favourite Christmas recipe!

Baking at Christmas time is so fun, not only do you make tasty treats, but your house fills with amazing Christmassy smells that make you feel all festive! Cinnamon and ginger are definitely Christmas classics and together they just taste incredible! So put on you Christmas jumper... get out your Christmas cookie cutters....Play some Christmassy music and LETS BAKE!

Ingredients-
250g plain flour
1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon of ground ginger
170g butter
100g golden syrup

1.Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and line 3 baking trays with grease proof paper and butter.
2. Add the butter, cinnamon, ginger and  flour into a bowl and rub the flour into the butter until the mixture looks like bread crumbs.
3.With a knife, mix the syrup into the mixture until it forms a ball then chill for half an hour.
4. Roll out the dough so that it is around the thickness of a pound coin. Using cookie cutters cut out your biscuits.
5. Cook for 12-15 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
6. Leave to cool and ENJOY!
